Welcome to the Summer Meeting for the Earth Science Information Partners (ESIP)! The 2017 theme is Strengthening Ties Between Observations and User Communities. The theme is based on one of the goals in the 2015 - 2020 ESIP Strategic Plan, which provides a framework for ESIP’s activities over the next three years.

Regularly consults on ontology and information model development for projects in several disciplines.

Associate member of Jet Propulsion Laboratory’s Center for Data Science and Technology, a virtual center for research, development and operations of data intensive and data-driven science systems.

Member of the Primary Trusted Digital Repository Accreditation Board (PTAB). Took part in the validation of the ISO 16363 standards on audit and certification of trustworthy digital repositories and helps teach a High Level Training Course on ISO 16363 for Managers of Digital Repositories. Participate in international data standards development.
